Nike “Doc Brown” Shades
The high volume of attention since the information surfaced
about the release of the Nike Air Mags is as expected. After years and years of
sneaker aficionados around the globe young and old, expressing their
desire to one day own the footwear that graced the screen of the classic film
“Back to the Future.” To commemorate the first step of the “Mcfly” madness,
Nike flew out a few lucky individuals to Los Angeles for a secret event
set to take place tomorrow morning. For those patrons attending,
they received a special box that carried a pair of glasses that
resembled those of which “Doc Brown” wore in the film. More info is to come as
Tinker Hatfield is set to host a presentation.

JORDAN 2′SMOOTH OCTOBER 2011 LINEUP
At his best, Michael Jordan really was too good at many things; defense, dunking, dominating, etc. And in regards to the newest silhouette from Jordan Brand, the 2’Smooth, we can’t argue with naming any shoe that’s complimentary to MJ as being overly flattering. This silhouette utilizes a sole design very similar to the Air Jordan 20, which fittingly paid tribute to MJ’s legacy, with a low cut upper. These two colorways are set to drop next month with a $110 price tag attached.

Onitsuka Tiger “Made in Nippon” Fabre Deluxe
Blooming under its status as a design and culture capital, Japan is at the epicenter of the nation’s retail shift as technology and traditional craft collides. At the centre of this movement, products with strong echoes of Japan’s cultural heritage such as ASICS Onitsuka Tiger are celebrating vintage-inspired designs and materials. Based on the idea to release an “Authentic Japanese” inspired series back in August 2008, ASICS Onitsuka Tiger released their “Made in Nippon” line which includes iconic and classic looks from the company’s original designs. Even today, “Made in Nippon” items certainly don’t seem outdated and staying true to the heritage could be the most contemporary thing ASICS Onitsuka Tiger could do.
Through this line, the sportswear brand implements a comprehensive approach to design by commissioning local small-scale Japanese shoemakers in creating sculpture-like sneakers. Products such as the basketball inspired Fabre Deluxe was produced by utilizing vintage leather and one of a kind dying technique to achieve a highly unique and personal finish to the sneaker.

DAVE WHITE X AIR JORDAN 1 “WINGS FOR THE FUTURE” NEW IMAGES
No official release date for the Dave White x Air Jordan 1 “Wings For the Future” has been officially announced yet. However, new images of this pair are now available. This collaborative pair sports a casual, paint-splattered look that artist Dave White has become known for and is set in red, white and black tones. This theme is particularly striking because of the Swoosh-less Air Jordan 1 silhouette as well as the interesting use of a metallic silver inner liner and elephant print accent panels. All Dave White x Air Jordan 1 proceeds will go to Jordan Brand’s WINGS for the Future initiative. Check out more images below and let us know what you think.
